Funky Transport

The Deep End is the North of Scotland's only true underground house night. Each and every Saturday Funky Transport (Brique Rouge, Classic, Chez, Playhouse, Farris Wheel) takes you on a 5 hour house music journey be it deep-classics-disco-tech-soulful-garage or his own edits; always championing cutting edge dance music for the discerning music revellers. Having a DJ/producer of this note at the helm has meant attracting the best possible global guests such as Kerri Chandler, Derrick Carter, Louie Vega, Gene Farris, Joey Negro, Kenny Hawkes, Crazy P, Lindstrom and Prins Thomas as well as championing rising stars by giving Scottish debuts to Jafar, Asad Rizvi, EBM, John Larner, Brett Johnson and Dizzy - to name a few. The rest of this year is no exception with the US's funk house ambassador - Q-Burns Abstract Message (OM, NRK, Astralwerks, Eight Tracks) dropping in to entertain us for shoulder popping good times, following his hectic worldwide touring campaign including the busiest WMC 07 schedule humanly possible - well he is a Florida resident after all. Other guests include a deep house London DJ going places,Natalie C, the ever touring Rebel Waltz party of Murray Richardson (Nordic Trax) and Stuart Patterson (Faith), plus Brazil's kingpin of house parties, from Rio to Sao Paulo, Jota Wagner (Colors) .
